I’m loving a new book that i’m reading at the moment – ‘The War of Art’ by Steven Pressfield. It speaks about resistance to the creative person, and i’m sure that i’m not the only one to is prone to procrastination or who finds working from home an art form in itself. The difference in myself and my husband when working from home:
Me: Clear up the kitchen, put some washing on, walk the dogs, make a cup of coffee, finally switch on the computer and sit down to work!!
Hubbie: Make a cup of tea, sit down to work!
Maybe its just the differences between us or men and women generally, who knows but see what you think to this;
‘The most pernicious aspect of procrastination is that it can become a habit. we don’t just put off our lives today; we put them off til our deathbed. Never forget:This very moment, and never will be, when we are without the power to alter our destiny. This second, we can turn the tables on resistance. This second, we can sit down and do our work.’ Steven Pressfield
